Potential commercial applications for the µ-Sq beads and the Hollow silica shell are numerous and include:

Our spherical micrometer sized polymer particles (called µ-Sq beads) act like micro sponges and absorb molecules while the sub-micrometer sized Hollow silica shells have an internal void space and act much like a standard container. Both the beads and shells are very robust and can survive harsh temperatures / pressures and chemical conditions.
We're continually becoming aware of new commercial sectors where our technology could make a difference. We always welcome new ideas and new uses for our technology and we'd be very happy to hear from you if what we have is of interest.

Exilica makes fragranced polymers

Exilica has been awarded an Advantage Proof of Concept Grant to produce and evaluate prototype fragrance loaded thermopolymer composites. Using primarily Exilica's µ-Sq beads, thermoplastics including;
spacerpolypropylene
spacerpolyester
spacernylon-6
spacerpolymethylmethacrylate
spacerABS
spacerare being loaded with natural fragrances, such as lavender oil and eucalyptus oil.
